Last Week on Friday it was Gumboot Friday, Mike king made gumboot Friday. Gumboot Friday is a day where you wear gumboots to support mental health. Metal Health is when kids and adults don't feel good about themselves.

On Friday we started to write special quotes for the community around us, and then we post them the next week.

The next Week on Tuesday we posted our cards to the community in our area. We were split into groups of 8 and 9, we went to some of the different types of places in Mt Roskill.

In our school our topic for this year is Hauora - Well-being, and that relates with mental health because if you have good mental health then you have good well-being but if you don’t have good mental health then you don’t have good well - being.

I think gumboot Friday is very helpful to people who have mental health.

On Wednesday, Sally emailed  us and told us that a lady called and told her "Thank you for the letter, My son has changed a lot.

Soccer Zones !

Football Zones ⚽

Hey bloggers, Yesterday 4 April 2019 we went to Football zones. Football zones was at Eden Park. We had 7 games, We won all of our games expect we had one tie. All the teams we played didn't get any goals, We made all the goals. We got to meet a famous Football player Sarai Bareman. She came all the way from Switzerland to see us play. She also brought along with her the Fifa women's world cup. It was really cool seeing the cup, no one could touch it even when they were cleaning it they had to use gloves. Hey Bloggers, Today am going to be talking about our trips Cameron pools. We learnt about pool safety. We learnt to swim in life jackets and how to save yourself if we accidentally fall in the water. Next week when they are going to test us on how well we learnt and see if we swim well. Now am going to show

Today I'm going to be talking about The Digital Dig.
The Digital Dig is a slideshow about all the shortcuts
that you can use on your Chromebook,
for example control + C is copy and control + v is paste.
I have learnt a lot of shortcuts that can help me with my
learning. My friend, Maryam and I have nearly finished all the slides in the slideshow. I am only going to show a slide that are really important in shortcuts.

All of these shortcuts are meant for you Chromebook keyboard. There are shortcuts for copying, pasting, opening new tabs and many more.

Welcome to my first post of 2019. Today I'm going to be talking about my getting to know you form. My getting to know you form is a form that I have filled in in week 1 week,week 2 and week 3. It is a form about my family, things I don't like, and much more. I decided to post my getting to know you form because I want everyone to know about me more.The responsibilities I have this year as a year 6 are Jump jam,Backtrack and I am a house captain for Pukeko. A house captain is captain for your house group. I hope you enjoy it and learn much more about me.

SLJ Week one - Day one

Hello Bloggers of the world today is the first day of the SLJ-Summer learning Journey. Today's Activity is  called in the beginning,There is a link to a website and we have to see three fun facts about New Zealand but write it in your own words.So heres my three fun facts.

Activity one-The Legend  of new Zealand

    1. Aotearoa is the Maori name for New Zealand,Aotearoa also means The long White cloud.
That's the only one a could think of sorry Now i am going to go on to the next activity.


Activity 2- North and south 
What I am going to do is describe the place I live in.I live in Mangere.I think Mangere is a great place to live in because in my street there is a massive field.I can smell fresh air and fresh grass on the field.I see people walking and running,The other part I like about Mangere is all the people all the people are so nice and caring.I see people looking after each other and people helping each other.

Summer learning journey

Today Megan (Summer Learning Journey staff) 

came to visit. She told us about what was going to happen in the next summer holidays we have. Then we went to our own classes and in the yellow space we did a Kahoot now were in the green space and were doing blogging about different countries. 

I am blogging about England. Here's a picture of England.

Now am going to tell you a little bit about England.

England's main cities are  London, Liverpool, Birmingham, Norwich and York.The national sports are cricket, rugby union, rugby league, netball, soccer and field hokey. There are 53.1 million people in England. Last, but not least, languages in England are of course English.

That's all the facts I have for today 

Next I am going to write a little letter to my Dad telling him that I will be going to England for a while 

To:Dad 

Hi Dad,Hows you dad been going? Mine has been great. I am going to go to England for about 5 or 8 days just to look around but i decided to give you a message first an see if I can. I have deiced to go there because it is a very nice place and there's a lot of food. So please please dad can I go there,
